Inbjuden till filmen“The Calling”
En japansk film ”The Calling” är dokumentär film om Rikiya Asai, manlig konstnär med vissa funktionhinder och hans mamma Miwako som hjälpte honom att utveckla hans talang. Filmen berättar om psykisk barriär problem och ett nytt sätt att engagera sig om problemet mellan Rikiya och Sawako och ger alla tittare inspiration att leva med hopp om framtiden. Mr. Kazuyoshi Nagashima, regissören vill gärna ger tillfälle att visa filmen till medlemmar i Japanska föreningen i Stockholm och svenska allmänheten och prata om tittarnas reflektioner efter visningen. Välkommna!

Long Sinopsis
Rikiya Asai cannot walk or talk as a normal person.
He suffers cerebral palsy.
His mother, Miwako, once thought of releasing her grip
of his stroller on top of a steep slope and committing
suicide.
However, when Rikiya encounters painting at age 4 their lives change
forever. Thanks to painting Rikiya is finally able to communicate his
thoughts with others, he has a fateful encounter with this technique. His
paintings raise sympathy from many people, and become able to exhibit not
only in Japan, but also China, Taiwan, San Francisco, and New York.
Even now, his mother believes that – He was born for a purpose. Every
creature given life by God has a task they are meant to perform. ‒ Today,
Rikiya has over 30 years and from being only cared about, he now cares
about the people around him as well. However, Miwako his mother is over
60’ s now and she worries about Rikiya’ s life after she passes away. Those
thoughts make her very uneasy.
In other to find a way to make a living, Rikiya is exploring the use of cloud
sourcing to put his painting skills to use in various ways. Rikiya had
already discovered his calling, but he keeps on rising to new challenges ‒
Life is an everlasting journey to find one’ s calling -. This film reflects on the
meaning of one’ s “perfect job” through documenting the life of Rikiya Asai.
