Please join us!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Meet and listen to the Swedish Ambassador for Combating Human Trafficking, Mr Per-Anders Sunesson, talks about human trafficking and what is being done to combat this hideous crime.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In 2016 the Swedish Government decided to put in place a new function within the Ministry for Foreign Affairs \u2013 an Ambassador for Combating Human Trafficking.<\/p>\n<p>The task of the ambassador is to represent Sweden on this topic internationally and also to promote the Swedish legislation regarding prostitution as an effective legislation to lower demand for girls and women to exploit in prostitution.<\/p>\n<p>At this meeting Ambassador Sunesson will talk about his work and what is being done internationally to combat human trafficking.<br \/>\nHuman trafficking is a crime that exploits women, children and men for numerous purposes including forced labour and sex.<\/p>\n<p>The International Labour Organization estimates that 21 million people are victims of forced labour globally.
